MR. DE LEON

Mr. De leon graduated from the University of North Texas magna cum laude. He began playing cello in 6th grade, bass guitar in 7th grade, and guitar in 8th grade. While at UNT he taught with the UNT String Project and held a private cello studio. Mr. De leon played cello in the UNT Concert Orchestra, double bass in the TAMS Dull Roar Orchestra, and guitarron in Mariachi Aguilas. Mr. De leon believes that music is a language to be explored and empowers students to learn and create music.


Inspired by his own elementary music teacher, Mr. De leon donates his hair every two years to children with a variety of hair loss conditions. Mr. De leon is married to his middle school sweet heart, and has four of the cutest kids that exist; Hazel, Sailor, Faith, and Theodre. Outside of the classroom, Mr. De leon enjoys playing electric guitar at Victory Church in Decatur, fishing in his foldable kayak, and eating at Chili's.
