HELLO/HOLA/ALO

Hello Friends, My name is Alexander Jaime and I have the privilege to lead the orchestras here at Huffines! Mr. de Leon is no longer the Director at Huffines, but he will be the Assistant Director of Orchestras at Lewisville High School with Mr. Zauner.

Mr. de Leon has built a program that you should be proud about, and I only hope to continue this excellent programs efforts. There will be differences in our approaches, but I ask that we work together to bridge this transition so that our students grow to their fullest potential.

I want to start out the year right by making sure everyone is on the same page. Just a few weeks ago I took over this marvelous program and have learned so much in those weeks. There are many things that I have to get done, but updating the Handbook and website is a start!

I want to preface that I am fluent in English (obviously!), Spanish, and French. Italian is my next language, but I can speak well. That said, our communication will be in both English and Spanish. If there is another language that you prefer please communicate that to me and I will send you translated materials.

I am sorry for missing everyone on Orientation Night! I had training that ran over.

I have yet to meet the supporting stars of this show - YOU! I would like to see my supporting stars very soon - Ill keep you posted on our next gathering.

Please visit the Meet the Director section to read a little a about me and what I am bringing to this program. I am excited, to say the least, to meet your students and listen to their talents. You can also see the Orchestra Handbook page has been updated with an essential document to our program. Please read it, or don't but have your students summarize it. Summarizing is a great skill to develop.
